AI Product Engineer

Shape the future of consumer facing products at the frontier of AI, physics and fashion.

Full-time · Remote

About:

CATCHES builds physics-backed AI for garment simulation and virtual try-on, used by luxury fashion brands. Launched at Nvidia GTC 2026 after several years in stealth at the cutting edge of physics informed research and development we are now handling enterprise scale consumer facing virtual try-on’s for brand partners globally.

We are backed by investors from both sides of the industry, including Antoine Arnault, Natalia Vodianova Arnault, Roy Chung (founder, Apollo.io), Dillon Erb (founder, Paperspace), Gary Sheinbaum (former CEO, Tommy Hilfiger) and Sarah Willersdorf (former Head of Luxury, BCG)

Role:

You'll be working at the earliest, most ambiguous stage of product development, taking ideas from concept to functional prototype quickly and with conviction.

You won't hand off at the wireframe stage. You'll take it far enough that the core questions are answered, not just sketched.

In practice that means integrating AI capabilities into product surfaces, wiring together APIs and interfaces, and making enough UX decisions along the way to keep things moving.

This role requires genuine breadth. You'll move across frontend and backend, and make enough product and UX decisions along the way to keep momentum. You're not expected to own everything in production, but you need to get far enough that the path is clear.

You:

  • 3+ years of full-stack development experience, with a track record of shipping product to real users.

  • Strong proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js or similar) and backend services.

  • Hands-on experience integrating LLMs and/or VLMs into product surfaces, including prompt engineering, tool use, and agentic flows.

  • Product and UX sensibility: you can spec, prototype, and refine user experiences as well as build them.

  • Comfortable working across the stack using AI-native development tooling.

Nice to have:

  • Experience building agentic or multi-step AI workflows (tool use, RAG, orchestration).

  • Exposure to e-commerce, checkout, or transactional product surfaces.

  • Familiarity with image or video model APIs and multimodal product integration.
